Hi All,
Just thought I would give you an update and the reason why I haven't posted anything for a long time. Right after the last post I started a MAJOR spring cleaning. Started with the garage (spent 4 solid days on that) and then moved up to the master bedroom which had been used as a storage room for many years. That took over a week and then I had to clean out my bedroom for my best friend to move in. We filled up over 6 dumpsters and had a truck hall away a number of large items and gave away many bags of clothing.

Once that was complete I hopped on a plane to Mobile, AL to rescue my BF from the mess in the Gulf. We drove 2 cars across the country in 3 1/2 days. When we got back to California we did MORE cleaning and then had to get ready for the arrival of my ex husband and daughter for my youngest son's graduation which was last Thursday.

Now, my daughter and I are off to Grand Bethel for Job's Daughters next weekend. I hope to have some free time starting in July to start crafting again.

Take care,

Baby Book

I created this book for a young lady at work for her baby shower. The cartridges used are New Arrival, George, Celebrations for the presents, Pooh for the tree & Doodlecharms for the sun. The printed cardstock and sticker embellishments are K&Company Snuggle Bug. The journal tags are "Pastel Baby" from Colorbok. Other embellishments are Stickles, various stickers (letters), ribbon from my stash, buttons, google eyes, scrapping floss and stamps. The cut file is on the side of my blog. Enjoy!
I used rubber stamps and letter stickers on the journal page. Don't you love that little bird? Too cute!
I used raindrops for the water coming out of the shower.

Since babies change and do so many things during the first year I wanted to make sure there were journal tags for every month so....underneath the photo mats are journal stickers....
More journal stickers under both photo mats again attached with Velcro....
I didn't put photo mats on these two pages because the paper was just too cute (& I was running out of time to get it finished!)
There were a bunch of stickers left over.... first tooth, first curl, first word, walking so I included them with the book so she can add them where appropriate.
The End! Thanks for looking!!

Update and Provo Craft v. MTC

Sorry, haven't posted anything in a looooonnngg time. Crafting mojo has gone out the door and I've been helping a friend make a birthday shape book for her daughter. We've been working on it for many Friday nights, but I think we're done. I will post pictures. I am also going to do a class this weekend (another cute acrylic book) and I'll post pictures on Sunday.

Anyway, I pulled up a copy of the complaint in the PC v. MTC case for anyone that's interested in looking at it. You can access it here.

Cricut Cartridge Storage

This is what I originally used for cartridge storage, but it only holds 26 and it was a pretty snug fit with all cartridges, layouts and books inside.
So, when my collection grew to 35 cartridges I had to figure out something new. I got the idea from one of the ladies on the Cricut Lovers Yahoo group she used containers from Wal-Mart and I think put one cartridge per divider and taped the plastic to each divider.

So I went to Staples in search of containers (I had reward money to use). The brand of box is "Really Usefull Boxes" and they're $9.99 each.  I was originally going to use 5x8 index cards as dividers but those were too flimsy.... light bulb.... use my scrap pieces of chipboard. This worked out perfectly because I had a bunch of scraps that were 5" wide and 11" long so I cut them down to 8.75". I then cut out the plastic so it was just the "holder" part so I could put 3 per divider. I glued them on using Zip Dry glue. Each box will hold 27 cartridges along with the overlays and books.

I didn't have any file labels, so I printed out the "labels" on card stock and used my Xyron to make stickers. I think I'm really happy with this solution and it will continue to work as my collection grows. And you can always reorganize the carts just by re-labeling the dividers.
