Love Bandit

I went to a class this weekend to make this acrylic book (my first time). The Bo Bunny "Love Bandit" paper is AWESOME!! Here is the book that Jessica Studer designed and teaches at local shops in my area. It's not exactly like hers because I finished it at home and I SCREWED UP and punched holes on the wrong side for binding so I just decided to add ribbon. I think it turned out pretty good even with my goof! I had to get more of this paper and I did find it. Love Bo Bunny paper! So cute!!
Here is my goof page where I had to add ribbons in the holes that I punched on accident......

Birthday Book #2

My beautiful daughter turned 19 on January 28th, lives 1200 miles away and she loves my books.....so, I decided to remake this book that I did in December for a friend... changed a few things and made it perfect for my daughter. Love this paper DCWV "Sweet".... LOVE IT! What is really great about this design and this paper stack is that it can be switched around to make it "individualized". Just re-made this book for a friend who's daughter is going to school in Hawaii. We added a cat page (that she had to leave behind) and a surf board page and its "Birthday Wishes" instead of "Celebrate.. It's Your Day" and the same stack of paper was used differently. We're still on the beginning part of this new book, but I will post it as soon as we get it done! Thanks for taking a look!

Chicago Book

Just before Christmas a friend asked me to do a book for her cousin for their trip to Chicago which gave me the idea to make one for her for Christmas. (I also made one for her cousin). This is my creation. The paper I used is DCWV Belle Cafe. I'd looked at the stack before and didn't think much of it but once I used it for this project I fell in love with it.  I designed it and put it together in a hurry so I didn't do too many pages. Thanks for checking it out!

Birthday Book-Finished

I finally finished the book and gave it to my friend at the surprise party on Saturday. We ended up staying for the party since we couldn't go to Disneyland because of rain. :( She was surprised and loved the book! It didn't take me 2 weeks to finish the book, it just took me 2 weeks to finally take pictures and post it!!

I added a lot more ribbon to this book's spine. I think I like it better this way.

I found these little charms at a LSS. I bought a bunch. They're so sweet and I think a great thing to add to these books. I'm always on the lookout for charms for this purpose.

I used Stickles to show off the embossing on the balloons and on the butterfly. The faces are from Peachy Keen Stamps. I used chalk to put the color on the cheeks. The paper dolls are meant to represent my friend and her husband.

I added the cat because the birthday girl has cats.

I embossed the tree and used evergreen Glimmerz on the entire upper part of the tree and then used teal Glimmerz to highlight the swirls.

For the flower I used Prima flowers and used this technique.

I wanted to make sure she had plenty of room for pictures so I made a pocket and put in a couple of tags. I used the same technique from above on these flowers too.

I used the same technique on the swirl embelishment. It's just a swirk I cut out using my Cricut.

Another tag.
I added Stickles to *Surprise* to make it pop.
I love comments!! Thanks for looking!

Birthday Book

I've been invited to a surprise party for a good friend on the same night my daughter arrives. My daughter will only be here for 24 hours so I really want to spend the few hours we'll have alone at Disneyland rather than at the party. Well this friend has been admiring my word/shape books so I decided she is going to get one. Since she is a December *baby* I decided to use Christmas paper for the base paper. It's a more elegant Christmas paper so it doesn't look too Christmasy (is that a word?).

So far this one hasn't taken too long to do. I designed and cut out the chipboard and base pages yesterday and worked on the layers today. Now I have to work on the inside pages. I'll post those when I'm done.

I was asked to share what the pages look like before they're decorated. So here you go....

I used pop dots on some of the layers. You can't really see it from the top picture. I hope you can get the idea from these pictures.
